Welcome!

  • New Podcast Alert 📣

  • Why focussing on fun is the most important part of making money and achieving your dreams

  • The number one thing you should be saying at the start of each meeting this week

I’ve got a BIG one this week.

Launches, big questions and keeping your meetings on time and productive

So lets dig in. 🙂

My new baby 💜 📻️

If we’ve been connected for any length of time you might know that I created 276 episodes of Mi TV.

A video series I started back in 2017.

A 10 minute-ish video that delves into Productivity, Time Management, Growing your business and how to work most effectively with a Virtual Assistant.

It is by far one of the best decisions I ever made to grow my business and get attention.

Weekly content.

Doing it when you don’t feel like it.

Those videos I ‘threw together’ I often got the most comments on.

Prolific beats perfect as Daniel Priestley would say.

It works so well.

For a long time I’d been itching to switch up the format and bring in the expertise and experiences of business owners I really admire.

You know those people you look at and you think

‘How on earth did they do that!!?’

Or the people who have the stories of burn out, overwhelm and hating their business and have transformed into loving it again and being able to Focus on the Fun Stuff?

So on Friday 27th Sept I launched my new podcast.

You guessed it.

The first episode is an absolute knock out - If I do say so myself.

I’m aware I set the bar very high 😅

Multiple exits, hated his business, loved his business, TedX talk with 100k views, created a global not for profit and has interviewed some of the most high profile global business leaders…..

The list goes on.

You can listen to the first episodes here and wherever your favourite podcast platform happens to be - you can click on the pic below ⬇️

Did you have enough fun?

I watched a talk delivered by Ed Mylett last week.

He’s 53 and worth about $400 million.

I’m a big fan of his and this specific talk was about his routines and how he spends his time.

Mid talk he stopped.

Took a minute and said to the audience that if he was being honest.

‘He’s made a lot of money but he didn’t have a lot of fun’

And he regrets that.

It’s what he’s focusing the next season of his life on.

Making memories and spending time having fun

Now granted he’s made a lot of money and you might say well he can afford to do that now!

But he made clear that he wished he had spent more time focussing on the fun stuff already.

If he was die tomorrow he would regret how intensely he’d spent his time growing his business and not much else.

That he could have operated in his businesses differently.

There’s a reason I started a podcast called Focus on the Fun Stuff.

Business is hard.

And it can be easy to let months and years pass by without any awareness of if you’re enjoying the journey.

We all start our business for a reason and sometimes it’s easy to get so far down the black hole of tasks, team, finances and overwhelm.

That one day we realise we’re not enjoying it any more.

It’s all grind.

And I don’t want that for you or me.

I believe it’s possible to grow a business you love and have dedicated time to Focus on the Fun Stuff.

Define your own version of success and live it.

The things you love to do or who you want to do it with.

So this week take a look at whats lined up for you.

Will you have any time to Focus on the Fun Stuff?

One thing you must say at the start of each meeting this week 📆

Ok - Ed Mylett has given me a 2-4-1 this week.

Theres one thing he says at the start of every meeting to:

  • Make sure the people he’s speaking with value his time

  • Make sure his diary stays on track

He starts every meeting with:

Ok - so we have 30 minutes for this meeting guys.
What do we need to get done in that time?
Lets smash it

Ed Mylett

Granted - you might not want to say lets smash it.

He is American.

But as a way to start a meeting?

I love it!!!!

Ever had meetings over run? You’re late for the next one?

You’re apologising before its even started?

Not with Ed’s one liner.

It adds value to your time, it makes it clear you won’t be over running and it focuses everyone attention on the most important things to cover.

No more meetings for meetings sake.

I’ve started using it and the impact is immense!

I hope it helps you too 😉

Happy Sunday

Much love… go win the week 🚀

Make sure you have time to Focus on the Fun Stuff.
