My chat with Daniel Priestley
and the surprising thing he said
Achieve the life you want by Winning the Week
1015 words / 3 minutes 50 seconds reading time
Welcome!
A couple of weeks before Christmas I had the privilege of interviewing Daniel Priestley. (😍 fan girl moment)
I feel like he needs no introduction but just in case you don’t know who Daniel is he’s the founder of several multi million pound businesses and the entrepreneurial accelerator - Key Person of Influence.
He’s also the author of 5 best selling business books and was interviewed on Steven Bartletts DOAC earlier last year.
Safe to say his audience has increased DRASTICALLY last year along with opportunities and growth in his various businesses.
So just before we started the interview I said to Daniel…
‘I feel like your journey and growth in business all looks so effortless!
Have you got any earlier challenges we can dig into and talk about?’
Daniels reply:
‘Erm no not really it’s all good’
Fair enough Daniel. 🤣
But what he did do is use the next 1 hour 20 minutes to give a masterclass in exactly how he makes business so effortless.
It’s not because it lacks hard work but because he’s designed it that way.
So this week I wanted to share with you the key lessons I took from our conversation and how we can all simplify success in our own lives by focussing on what truly moves the needle - just like Daniel does….
The thing that sets you free in business is not chasing silver bullets—it's mastering high-value tasks and repeating them consistently.
1. Design the Perfect Repeatable Week
Daniel shared his concept of: the perfect repeatable week.
Imagine structuring your entire year around a week where you consistently focus on high-value tasks that drive results.
✅ What it looks like:
Blocking time for your highest-impact work.
Repeating key activities like lead generation, content creation, or strategy sessions every SINGLE week.
Avoiding getting in the weeds and focusing on the essentials.
🎯 Win The Week Tip: Identify the 3-5 core tasks that move your business forward and build your week around those first. Make sure you have the protected time to get them done
2. Eliminate the Small Stuff to Focus on Big Goals
One of Daniel's core principles is delegating anything that doesn't align with his highest-value work.
From the start of his business journey when he arrived in London with just a suitcase, his first hire was an assistant—not because he couldn’t do the tasks, but because it allowed him to focus on what only he could do.
✅ What it looks like:
Delegating admin tasks, scheduling, and customer follow-ups.
Automating repetitive tasks with tools like ScoreApp.
Empowering your team to take ownership and problem-solve without micromanagement.
🎯 Win the Week Tip: Make a list of tasks you're currently doing that someone else could handle. Consider what you need to delegate or systemize to free up more time for growth.
3. The Power of Simplicity and Repetition
Daniel emphasised that success often comes down to consistency, not complexity.
(I love this so much!!)
Whether it's running marketing campaigns or delivering presentations, the top performers are those who repeat a core set of actions over and over and over again.
✅ What it looks like:
Whats something thats worked well in your business that you’ve only done once? Some you should refine and repeat?
A successful entrepreneur running the same sales strategies consistently.
A bestselling author presenting the same keynote speech to multiple audiences.
🎯 Win The Week Tip: Instead of chasing the next big idea, master the basics and repeat them consistently.
Repeat them so that they happen without you
4. Redefine Success: It Starts with Your Ideal Week
Daniel shared how his mentor taught him to start the year by planning his holidays first.
Then, he structured his perfect weeks around the life he wanted, not just business goals.
✅ What it looks like:
Planning personal time and rest before work commitments.
Designing your calendar around personal fulfillment and professional impact.
Creating space for creativity, learning, and strategic thinking.
🎯 Win the Week Tip: Imagine it’s November 2025—what would a joyful, fulfilling week look like for you? Use that vision as your guide for setting goals this year.
Also if you havent even started planning yet - it’s never too late! Plan now - plan next weekend.
5. Win Your Week: Take Action Today
✅ Here's how you can apply Daniel’s principles this week in 15 minutes this Sunday evening:
Identify your most important weekly tasks that create results.
Delegate or automate one small task this week to free up your focus (then keep delegating one more each week)
Map out what your ideal week looks like—then start making adjustments to get closer to it.
I’ve talked about creating your ideal week so much but it really is where it all starts.
Your tasks expand to the time allowed or the time that doesnt have a defined use.
Make 2025 the year you get hyper focussed on how you’ll spend each week.
I highly recommend listening to the full episode on your next commute or gym sesh its an absolute beauty of an episiode ❤️
