and why I almost missed it

  • Focus on the Fun Stuff 🎙️ - a way to view your deadlines that Nigel Botterill taught me

Welcome!

I was at a mastermind last week and the chat turned to marketing strategies.

Things that we’re working in the room.

Then my friend and coach, Will, who runs the group said he had something that would help us make more sales.

That it would make the cost of the group back easily.

And when he revealed the strategy…I’ll be honest

I nearly stopped listening.

It’s something I’ve used before.

But as you know…

When you think you know everything

You definitely don’t

And I realised a trick I was missing

So lets dig in x

❝

"The key to success is to do what works,

and do it consistently."

Unknown

So for those still reading because they want to know what the strategy was.

Well it’s called the 9 Word Email.

And I’m sure lots of you know it and have used it.

As have I.

But Will made me realised something I wasn’t doing.

And it’s absolutely the foundation of winning the week.

Of achieving your goals.

So stick with me. 😉

For anyone that doesn’t know - the 9 word email is a short, direct message that helps generate business from any prospects that have ever enquired for your service before.

It’s simple.

It was created by Dean Jackson and the idea is to send a short, direct message that will engage your leads.

It goes something like this:

Hey Peter,

Are you still interested in [insert your service or product]

i.e.

Hey Peter

Are you still interested in getting some PA support? (if I was to send it of course)

It’s really powerful and because it’s so direct - well people often respond.

I’ve known about it for probably 5 years and I’ve sent it out once a year - when I’ve remembered too.

and every time it works - you get responses

So now your up to speed with what Will was talking about.

But then he said that he sends it out every three weeks.

Three weeks?! I was shocked.

That sounded excessive. Wouldn’t people get annoyed? Wouldn’t it lose effectiveness?

Surely, I didn’t need to send it that often.

I sent it out… and immediately got replies. Again. People were interested in booking a discovery call.

So, I tested it again three weeks later. And guess what? It worked again.

That’s when it hit me: I was overlooking something that already worked for me.

I had been so focused on finding new marketing strategies and working only on new ways to generate leads, and shiny new tactics that I had ignored a proven method that already delivered results—simply because I wasn’t doing it consistently.

The thing is - this isn’y just about emails and marketing.

Why We Stop Doing What Works

This isn’t just about emails.

It’s a pattern we all fall into.

We stop doing the very things that have helped us succeed in the past.

We start going to the gym, feel great, and then stop… and wonder why our energy dips.

We eat clean for a while, see progress, then fall back into old habits… and feel frustrated.

We listen to podcasts, read business books, and feel inspired… but then get “too busy” and stop learning.

Then we wonder why our results aren’t as good as they used to be.

Success isn’t about constantly chasing new strategies. It’s about consistently doing what works.

The Compound Effect of Simple, Repeated Actions

The real gains in business, health, and life - everywhere - don’t come from big, one-off actions.

They come from the small, effective habits we do consistently.

  • One email doesn’t change your business—but sending it every three weeks does.

  • One workout won’t transform your body—but exercising 3x a week will.

  • One podcast won’t change your mindset—but listening daily shifts your perspective over time.

These small, repeated actions compound over time and create massive results.

It’s not about waiting for the perfect moment or the next big strategy—it’s about doubling down on what already works and making it a habit.

Win The Week Challenge

So this week - I would love for you to take 5 minutes to think about:

✅ Identify one thing that has worked for you in the past—but you’ve stopped doing. - that daily walk? prepping lunch? carving out time to learn?
✅ Bring it back this week. Whether it’s a marketing strategy, a workout habit, or a mindset practice, restart it and commit to consistency.
✅ Track the impact over time. Stick with it for a minimum of a month, and see how the results build.

Success isn’t about reinventing the wheel—it’s about keeping it turning every day.

Win the week by doing what works, and doing it often.

Daily habits are our superpower. ⚡️

Go win the week!
