Yesterday was an exciting day in my house.
I upgraded to the new WHOOP 5.0 - and yes, it landed on the doormat like Christmas morning. 🎁
Why am I hooked on it? Two reasons:
It has this snazzy new function which shows your ‘health age’ according to Whoop and the pace at which your aging (see mine below 🙃 )

It leads me to make better decisions daily and win the week
Which we love.
So let’s dig in. 😉
“You are your business’s most important asset - and you must be protected at all costs.
Your time, your mindset, and your energy.”
At the start of this year, I had a big realisation.
I’ve spent so much of my business-owner life:
>Spotting cracks and patching them myself
>Sitting in meetings “just in case” things went off track
>Picking up work others should be doing
>Constantly scanning for problems no one had asked me to solve (😅 classic founder move - why do we do this to ourselves?)
And this year has been the biggest single enlightenment I think I’ve ever had
Here’s the epiphany ✨ :
The single most important asset in my business… is me.
If my energy, time, and mindset aren’t protected, everything else suffers.
So this year I’ve been ruthless:
❌ Out of group chats I don’t need to be in
❌ Out of meetings I don’t need to run
❌ Out of “doing” that keeps me stuck in the weeds
So I can spend more time thinking, creating, and strategising.
Not just doing.
And this is where WHOOP comes in.
It’s my daily reminder not to run on empty.
It tracks the habits that fuel me - and makes it harder to ignore them:
Going to bed consistently at the same time every night is now the norm (biggest energy upgrade ever)
8 hours of quality sleep
Sleep Quality - my god this has the biggest impact when you focus on this
Moving my body daily - steps and strength training
Tracking my habits - supplements and water
Because what you track, you improve.
I’ve turned down glasses of wine, logged off earlier, and moved more… simply because the data reminded me that today’s choices equal tomorrow’s energy.
And honestly?
The more in tune you get with how sleep and recovery impact you, the more successful, energetic, and happy your life becomes.
It’s that important.
So this week I’d love for you to ask yourself:
How much sleep am I actually getting?
Do I wake up feeling ready or already drained?
What one habit could I track this week that would give me more energy?
Protect the asset - that’s you.
