You don't need more doers

What you really need to move faster (and a little news from Bodrum 🥂)

Achieve the life you want by Winning the Week

Welcome!

Last week I was in Bodrum, Turkey.

The sun was shining.

The food? Unreal.

And... I got engaged. 🥹💍
(Still not over it.)

But here’s the thing — it wasn’t just a holiday.

It was also a big week for my business.

We’re in the middle of re-launching our brand new EA Support (more on that in a sec).

There’s a lot going on.

And yet... I wasn’t stuck on calls.

I wasn’t replying to endless questions.

I wasn’t micromanaging.

Why?

Because what I didn’t leave behind was a team of “doers” waiting for tasks.

I had a couple of strategic people by my side.

People who knew what the priorities were — and moved them forward without needing a checklist from me or the next instruction.

Let’s dig in. x

I have a theory.

That business owners think adding another doer into their team is a silver bullet.

That if we add more people.

We’ll get more done.

But here’s what usually happens instead:

You don’t get more done.

You just get more people waiting for direction.

Most of us get a bigger team of people waiting for the next instruction from you.

(I talk from previous experience of course)

A team waiting to be told what next.

Asking for the ‘how.

You’re pulling them along.

Buying other peoples time to maximise and leverage your own is one of the smartest life leverages.

Ever.

But the real hack.

Is when you create a team that pull you along.

When you’re scaling, you don’t just need someone to tick boxes.

👉 You need someone who knows where you’re going.
👉 Someone who clears the path, fills the gaps, and makes progress happen without hand-holding.

That's what I had while I was away.

And once you’ve experienced that kind of support —

You’ll never go back to managing a to-do list delegation machine again.

A question to ponder on today as you plan this week:

→ Am I delegating to doers?
→ Or am I supported by someone who drives results?

If it’s the first, you’ll always feel busy. Have less headspace. Never escape the overwhelm.

If it’s the second, you’ll feel momentum. You feel light. You feel supported that someone else is carrying the load.

A second brain.

An extension of you.

Having the right person by your side might just be the unlock you need.

I’m cheering you on always

PS: On July 14th, we’re officially launching our brand new, Outcome based, Strategic EA Support packages — built for founders (by me) who don’t just need help, they need progress.

We’re combining strategic thinking, proactive execution, clear outcomes and a fixed price — so you can stop firefighting and start leading.

We’re also the first Virtual PA company in the UK to scrap time-for-money pricing. 🙌

Want early access and the full details?

Just hit reply and I’ll send it your way first. 🚀

PPS: On Focus on the Fun Stuff this week - the brilliant Robin Waite talks about breaking his business, building something more beautiful and funnily enough - why you should stop charging time for money 😉 - > Listen to it here <
